Alan Wilson

Alan Wilson was born in Kunamata, South Australia, and raised in Pipalyatjara. He has lived at Indulkana for many years and is an early career artist at Iwantja Arts.

A respected senior leader and cultural lore man in the community, Mr Wilson is passionate about mentoring the next generation of young men to learn about and celebrate their culture through painting, inma (traditional songs and dances), crafting traditional artefacts, and language preservation projects. Mr Wilson provides cultural support to many Indigenous community support services across the APY Lands.
