Lila Creek, a prominent member of the Nyungkul Clan, hails from the town of Mossman. Fluently speaking the Kuku Yalanji language, she carries the rich heritage of her people. From an early age, Lila was mesmerised by the world of painting, inspired by the artistry of her father. With a deep connection to her cultural roots, she channels her innate artistic talent to vividly portray her family’s stories on canvas. Preferring expansive canvases, Lila revels in the opportunity to express her emotions and convey the profound narratives that shape her identity, using colour and texture to bring her heritage to life.
