Shonelle Stafford

Shonelle is Anmatyerr from Yuelamu in the Northern Territory, Australia. Shonelle has five young children and works part time at the Yuelamu shop.  She is the  Chair and a founding member of Inkwareny Artists.

Shonelle paints her father’s father’s dreaming.  Shonelle’s painting style pays particular attention to detail and colour, producing immaculate work.  She is deeply inspired and connected to her songlines of Angerr (stone curlew) and Arnperrk (Centipede), Rtlwamp (Sugarbag) and Anyematy Anengkerr (Witchetty Grub Dreaming).
