There are a number of different grinding seeds which are used to make bush tucker by people from the Tanami Desert area. A succulent plant with a yellow flower has a black seed. Grass grinding seed is white and is collected by ants. The ants pile them up on their nest mound. The women collect the seeds and grind them with the grinding stone on a big flat stone to make a flour. The flour is mixed with a little water and rolled into a ball and cooked in the charcoal.
