From the east, the Shelfo River is the main crossing from the north to the west side of my country. In my painting, I depict freshwater flowing after a flood. The story revolves around an old man named Inh Kung Kung (English: Whistling Kite Hawk), who built a barricade to separate freshwater from saltwater. This barrier prevents the overflow from the sea into the river during high tide, which occurs daily. He traded his goods to collect rocks from the people of the East Coast. This area is located in Kunjen Country.
